The Alleluia Quartet has been presenting its unique style of four part harmony to listeners in Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin for more than twenty years. Their music includes traditional, contemporary, gospel and country Christian and inspirational songs. Members of the group are Jarrod Severing (tenor), Todd Scott (lead), John Vanderheyden (baritone) and Scott Hoffman (bass).
The quartet are members of Beth Eden United Methodist Church in Rockford, IL. They began singing together in the early 80’s as members of the Church’s choir. After realizing that their voice ranges and ability to blend was “more than coincidence”, the Alleluia Quartet was formed. The name of the quartet was taken from the well known song “Alleluia” which was the first song that they sang together.
In response to listeners over the twenty years, the group decided to record some of its music.

During 2002 they completed their first release, titled New Beginnings. The title seemed appropriate as the slogan for Beth Eden Church is “The House of New Beginnings”, and this has been a new beginning for the group. |
