The Birth of Jesus

In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. (This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria.) And everyone went to his own town to register.  So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. (Luke 2:1-7)

How UTRCP came about,

In 2003, three churches came together to share resources and to grow.

Beth Eden U. M. C., Evans U. M. C., Harlem U. M. C.

This became "Upon This Rock Cooperative Parish". Slowly all three churches have come together and are now working as one, but yet each has kept their own personality

Serve the Lord with gladness! Psalm 100:2

Joining a fellowship group or serving on a church committee is a rewarding experience that allows you to grow in fellowship and Christian love with your church family and to grow in your relationship with God and in your personal spiritual journey. Terms of service on most of our committees is limited to three years, at the end of which members are encouraged to explore other areas where God may be calling them to serve the church and world. If you are a member of Harlem, Evans or Beth Eden and feel God “nudging” you toward joining a fellowship or service group, please call one of our Pastors at 815-877-9237 for more information.

Many times God beckons us to be involved in the ministry of all believers, and there are times when we have dreams, visions or ideas for new programs, studies, or ministries.  Please feel free to share them with your Pastors and  local church or Cooperative leadership, the ideas and visions God places on your heart.  We are the People who stand upon the Rock of our Lord Jesus Christ.
